Big Hearts at Christmas
Right here in Aotearoa, thousands of families are under real pressure this Christmasโand together, we can make a difference. ๐๐
Every year, our church whฤnau comes together to pack and deliver Christmas Boxes filled with food essentials and festive treats to families doing it tough. Itโs a beautiful way we bring Godโs love to life and share hope where itโs needed most.
The need across New Zealand is growingโand through our partnership with Christmas Box, weโre committed to reaching families through our relationships with Red Cross, Women's Refuge, low decile schools, and many more community organisations.
We canโt do it without you!
๐ Every $40 donated gives a family a Christmas Box packed with over $60 worth of food.
๐ You can also help pack or deliver boxes
Letโs bring the heart of God to homes across Aotearoa.
โFor I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drinkโ
โ Matthew 25:35
How can I get involved?
Just $40 provides a Christmas Box to a family doing it tough this holiday season! ๐
Thanks to our amazing friends at Christmas Box, your donation goes even furtherโwith every box packed with over $60 worth of food thanks to their generous sponsors.

FAQ
Yes! You can donate any amount, it doesnโt have to be a full box amount or limited to just one.
Christmas box works year-round with some amazing sponsors to sort out the items that go in a box and work out logistics of delivery to every packing location across New Zealand. 2026 will be our sixth year partnering with them to reach more people in need.
You can find out more about Christmas Box here
Each Christmas Box is packed with around 20 pantry staples and festive treats โ everything a family needs to enjoy a brighter Christmas. From essentials like pasta, rice, and canned goods, to special treats like chocolates, biscuits, and confectionery, every item is chosen to bring help and hope to families doing it tough.
Head to the 'Volunteer Days' section to filter by campus to find your closest packing or delivery day. Then click the register button to head to the sign up page!
Group sign ups You can sign up your family, lifegroup or friends as a group! Just enter the number of people signing up, enter a contact person in the 'Order Details' and the names of each attendee (including the contact person)
The person who provided their email/phone is the contact person for the whole group, and will need to communicate any information received.
Signing up through the events page helps us know how many people are coming! Some venues have volunteer limits for health and safety. This also helps us with any catering provided.
If you're another church or organisation wanting to bring a group of volunteers to join, please email care@arisechurch.com to check availability for your location. Please let us know what city you're in, and your group size.
Feel free to email care@arisechurch.com
