Life Groups Team Leader – Porirua
Are you passionate about people, leadership, and building community?
We're looking for someone to fill the newly established position Life Groups Team Leader in Porirua. You'll play a key role in developing leaders, supporting volunteers, and helping create environments where people can build meaningful connections and take their next step in community and faith.
What we're looking for:
Someone who is passionate about the mission and values of our church
Experience leading volunteers and developing people
Strong relational, communication, and leadership skills
Someone who can inspire, encourage, and empower others to take their next step
If you also have experience in leading a Life Group or Grow Group it would be an advantage
A Diploma in Christian Ministries is preferred but not essential.
This role is 0.4FTE and is a Permanent position based in Porirua, Wellington.

Are you interested in working for a dynamic, innovative, Christian organisation? We are searching for a highly capable Finance Team Leader to join our team. This is a new role and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance function, supporting team members across core finance processes, and ensuring strong financial administration, reporting, analysis, and compliance outcomes. The Finance Team Leader will also work with the Leadership Team to develop and implement finance priorities that support ARISE’s operational and strategic objectives.
To be a successful candidate for this role, you will have:
- Formal accounting qualification or professional membership of the Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CA ANZ) is required.
- 5+ years’ experience working in a commercial finance or business operations environment.
- Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating the work of others within a finance or administration team.
- Experience supporting payroll, reporting, budgeting, process improvement, or finance systems administration would be advantageous.
- Experience in process improvement, systems implementation, or workflow automation.
- Experience preparing or contributing to management or board reporting.
- In addition, experience in a not-for-profit or charitable, organisation would be beneficial.
If you have great communication skills, strong attention to detail, Highly organised with strong time management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple finance processes while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate controls as well as the above, then we’d like to hear from you.
This role is 0.8 - 1.0 FTE (negotiable) and is a Permanent position based in Petone, Wellington. Please advise in your application which of these options you would prefer.
