Software Developer (Entry Level)

Are you interested in working for a dynamic and innovative, faith based organisation? We are searching for a Software Developer, to join our team! The Software Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support both the staff team and the wider congregation, ensuring that these tools are accessible, secure, and effective in connecting people with the church and aiding in their faith journey.

ABOUT YOU

To be a successful candidate for this role, you will have:

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in software development.

  • Graduate Degree in Software development or proven experience in the area of Software Development.

  • Proven experience in developing web applications.

  • Proficient in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS and JS). Ruby on Rails.

  • A solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends and technologies.

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies like CSS and JavaScript frameworks.

Additionally, we would prefer the candidate to:

  • A portfolio of projects that demonstrates proficiency in the required programming languages and technologies.

  • Experience in Flutter, Kubernetes and version control systems, such as Git.

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.

  • Familiarity with database technologies such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Campus Location is flexible and this role can be negotiated to have hybrid office / work from home days.

This role is 0.6 FTE (three days per week) and is a permanent position.
