IT Helpdesk Technician

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive IT Helpdesk Technician to help support and grow the IT capabilities of our organisation. In this role, you’ll not only provide vital IT helpdesk support but also work closely with our staff to enhance the use of technology across our offices and campuses.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Some of the duties relating to this role include;

  • Manage our internal IT Helpdesk, responding promptly and warmly to staff queries.

  • Provide IT support for ARISE staff and volunteers, including hardware, software, and web-based needs.

  • Assist with office IT infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, networking, digital signage, alarms, access systems, and video conferencing equipment.

  • Collaborate on the procurement, maintenance, and replacement of staff hardware.

  • Support staff software needs, deliver training, and develop easy-to-follow resources for key systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Brushfire, Typeform, and more).

ABOUT YOU

To be a successful candidate for this role, you will have:

  • 1-2 Years Experience in an IT Support / Helpdesk Role or similar

  • Enthusiasm for helping others and finding IT solutions.

  • The ability to communicate warmly and clearly with both technical and non-technical people.

  • A basic understanding of IT systems (hardware, software, networks) and a willingness to learn and grow.

Additionally, we would prefer the candidate to:

  • Some web development skills (or a willingness to develop them).

This role is part-time (24 hours per week) and a fixed term position (3 months). Ideal location is Wellington.

Youth Event Coordinator - Parental Leave Cover

Are you passionate about making an eternal impact in the lives of young people? Do you thrive on seeing all the details of an event come together? Arise Church is seeking a highly organised, passionate and driven Youth Event Coordinator to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this exciting part-time role, you’ll lead the planning and execution of Arise Youth’s flagship events (Intermediates Regional Events and Summer Camp) including;

  • Oversee and coordinate youth events from concept to completion

  • Manage budgets, logistics, and registrations across multiple regions

  • Lead staff and volunteers with clarity and strong communication

  • Foster a culture of excellence, unity, and fun across every team you lead

  • Promote events through digital campaigns and church communications

  • Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing—especially for our young attendees

ABOUT YOU

To be a successful candidate for this role, you will have:

  • 1–2+ years’ experience in event, project management or similar (in a voluntary or employed capacity)

  • Proven organisational, time management and communication skills

  • The ability to think strategically and thrive in team environments

  • A heart for young people and a passion for impacting their future

This role is part-time (24hrs per week – 0.6FTE) and is fixed term till approximately start of February 2026 (Parental Leave Cover).

Location Leader (Masterton)

Are you passionate about team building and empowering the local church? We are seeking a Location Leader for our Masterton Location to inspire and empower others to grow as disciples of Jesus, while making a positive impact on the community.

This role will involve fostering growth in volunteer leaders and developing the core functions of this location as they grow into a campus.

ABOUT YOU

To be a successful candidate for this role, you will have:

  • The ability to relate to people of every age, stage of life and background.

  • Proven ability to build and lead volunteer teams, in a ministry context.

  • The ability to pastorally care congregation members

  • Key strengths in implementing discipleship tracks

Additionally, we would prefer the candidate to:

  • A Diploma in Christian Ministry (or similar) or related field

This role is part-time (0.6FTE) but will be a permanent position.
