Big Hearts is back!
For many in our community the Christmas season adds stress to families already facing pressure to put food on the table. Through Big Hearts we meet an ever-increasing need for many families, and bring a reminder that God loves and cares for every person and will meet them where they are at.
We partner with Christmas Box to provide a box of food that includes a full Christmas breakfast, ingredients for two main meals, complement of hot beverages and pantry staples. This year, we are blessing 2,750 families in New Zealand through our relationship with Red Cross, low decile schools, and many others in our community.

How can I get involved?
Every $40 donated gives a Christmas box to a family struggling during the Christmas season! Our friends at Christmas Box work with their sponsors to increase the value of your donation and fill every box with over $60 of food retail value. Every dollar counts!
You can also volunteer to pack or deliver Christmas boxes to the homes of families in need, at every Arise campus location:
- Packing day: Saturday, 30th November, 2024
- Delivery day: Saturday, 7th December, 2024 (Christchurch only - Saturday, 14th December)
